Make-up in Asian style. Makeup for Asian eyes: types and subtleties of applying cosmetics Evening makeup for Asian eyes

30.01.2024

A makeup artist should abandon the usual techniques of applying cosmetics when working with a Korean or Japanese woman. European makeup will look bad on Asian eyes. It is necessary to take into account the shape and location of the eyelid.

The brow ridge in Eastern women is not very pronounced, so the eyelid looks straightened or as if absent. Moreover, this facial structure of modern Mulans implies prominent cheekbones, which makes the eyes deep-set.

They also differ noticeably in shape:

  • round;
  • elongated and narrowed towards the outer corner;
  • hemisphere (the line of the lower eyelid is straight, the line of the upper eyelid is arched).

The secret of a geisha's beauty lies in the purity of her skin. Girls carefully choose not only skincare products, but also decorative cosmetics. Only products containing natural ingredients can ensure radiant and healthy skin. The mineral base of powder, blush or eye shadow makes it easy to apply and does not clog pores.

Makeup for Asian women is fresh. It seems that the artist’s brush did not touch the girl’s face at all. Residents of the Celestial Empire rarely resort to creating a bright accent on their lips. Such a catchy accessory as scarlet lipstick is the exception rather than the rule.

Despite the special cut, smokey eye makeup of various shades is perfect for Asian eyes. A look with a mysterious veil gives the charisma of oriental seductresses a truly fatal power. This has been proven by many Hollywood actresses - even in photos, girls with Asian appearance can convey their mystery.

Vivid examples of the fact that exotic beauty can conquer the world film industry are oriental divas Francoise Yip, Liu Yifei, Shu Qi, and Lucy Liu. European fashionistas also want to imitate them, this explains the relevance of the question of how to create Asian eyes with makeup.

In addition, tips for creating an image for oriental beauties will also be suitable for other girls who have a similar facial structure.

Makeup tutorials for Asian eyes

It doesn’t matter whether you do the makeup yourself or turn to a specialist for help, try to preserve your natural uniqueness. Makeup for an Asian face type is different in that it emphasizes all the highlights, and does not try to Europeanize the appearance.

There are a number of universal tips for giving a well-groomed appearance to your face:

  • You should always start by shaping the eyebrow line. You need to approach thinning especially carefully, since the hair is often dark in color and on light skin individual hairs will be very noticeable.

  • There is no point in creating an unnatural bend; it is better to preserve the natural shape; it is most often straight or directed upward to the temple.
  • A white pencil and mascara with a lengthening effect will help to “open” your eyes. Along the edge of the lower eyelid, draw a confident outline of white color, the closer to the lash line, the better. Mascara should be applied twice to give your eyelashes a beautiful volume.

An important point in how to make up Asian eyes is the purpose of applying the makeup. If it’s an everyday walk with the dog or a trip to the movies with girlfriends, then you can get by with a minimal set of cosmetics. However, daily makeup for Asian eyes also has its own subtleties.

The main secret of both an everyday look and a formal one is to balance the corners of the eyes. To make the inner edge look less massive compared to the narrowed outer edge, it is worth applying white or light gray pearlescent shadows to it. The lighter the texture, the more unobtrusive the makeup artist’s efforts look. For these purposes, shimmering mono shadows from Dream Minerals are suitable, the color palette of which includes both warm and cold samples.

When applying cosmetics, in particular when working with dark eyeliner, you should be careful - the lines should be perfectly even. You can learn how to do daytime makeup for Asian eyes with drooping eyelids step by step if you look at photo examples.

  • First you need to decide on the color scheme. To go out into the city, ladies choose rather restrained colors. The following shades are suitable for fair skin: peach, golden, greenish, turquoise and lavender.

  • Another important rule for daily make-up is to apply shadows to the entire moving eyelid up to the growth of the eyebrows. The colors of such a foundation should be barely visible - instead of shadows, you can use a veil, it will not roll in the crease and will matte the eyelid well.

  • Makeup for the Asian type of appearance is particularly harmonious. To balance out prominent cheekbones, you can apply the same shade to your cheeks and eyelids.

When applying products with structure, shading is of particular importance; the smoother you create the transitions, the more delicate and neat the image will be. How to properly paint Asian eyes if you want to visually correct their shape?

  • A clear drawing of the eyebrows will help increase the size of the eyelid; if the natural shade is light, then it is better to choose a pencil or eyebrow powder that is a shade darker. Emphasize their contour with concealer.

  • Apply light shadows to the entire eyelid, and highlight the orbital fold with a darker shade. This will help create the effect of depth.
  • Apply velvety dark shadows to the outer edge of the eye; this technique will create a real foxy look.
  • Line your eyelashes with mascara.

For a date or a party, follow the same rules so as not to distort the proportions of the face, but the brush pressure can be made stronger, then the colors will be more intense.

Going out: evening makeup for Asian eyes

If for everyday makeup the presence of a foundation is not necessary, since daylight conceals imperfections, then in the light of safits or the neon flickering of clubs, the secret becomes clear. Therefore, evening makeup for narrow eyes involves applying a mattifying foundation. It is better to choose sand, golden or peach shades.

Deep dark colors are suitable for festive makeup:

  • plum;
  • jet black;
  • grey;
  • blue.

If you want to create a rich and spectacular make-up, then the smokey eye technique would be an excellent solution. The main nuance of this eye makeup for Asian women is highlighting the center with contrasting shadows, as can be seen in the photo.

  • First of all, apply the main color to the entire eyelid and blend well.
  • Next comes the turn of the first of the dark shades - the intermediate one. We paint it over the base, without going to the inner corner.
  • Draw the orbital fold with a dark pencil. Shade the resulting arcuate line with a soft brush.
  • Next we draw the lower eyelid. It is better to use a brush with an angled edge and a soft eyeliner. The line should be drawn from the center of the eye to the outer edge. Then soften the outline a little with a soft brush.
  • Apply white shadow just under the eyebrow. To add a pop of color, blend gold or silver pigment into the center of your eyelid in a circular motion to create a more rounded, voluminous eye shape.

Special occasion: wedding makeup for Asian eyes with photo

On this holiday, every girl wants to look special. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, so for such an occasion, you can try techniques that you do not use in everyday life.

In wedding photos, eyelash extensions on Asian eyes look simply magical. The look becomes open and clean. Also, to add shimmer, a small rhinestone is placed on the girl’s cheekbone.

The trick of oriental brides is that they make the most simple, nude makeup to highlight porcelain skin.

Ideal are natural shades of pink, peach, gold, pearl, which will revive natural beauty.

You can add a bright accent to your lips. It is better to choose matte textures, they are more durable. The bride will be able to drink drinks and try dishes without fear of spoiling. You can choose a bouquet or wreath on your head to match your lipstick, which will add even more harmony to the whole look.

Despite the fact that most girls prefer natural makeup on this holiday, bright accents such as arrows on Asian eyes are also welcome. A black glossy line will highlight the fox look.

  • It is better to choose liquid eyeliner with a soft brush, so the contour will be smoother. The line should be drawn in an arc from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner.
  • Draw the arrow as close as possible to the growth of the eyelashes, do not make it upward, slightly compact it at the center.

In order for the make-up to remain intact at all stages of the celebration, it is necessary to secure it with a special matting spray or a light mineral veil.

Let's adopt the secrets of mastery: how to do Asian makeup for European eyes

Girls from all over the world read Memoirs of a Geisha and wanted to have the same gift of charm. The fashion for oriental femininity has not passed, and women from Europe are still wondering how to create an Asian eye shape.

Here are a few secrets:

  • You can subtly change your facial structure with contouring. Create the same sensual cheekbones as Japanese and Chinese women.
  • If you are good at liquid eyeliner, you can specially make a narrowed tail between the arrows of the upper and lower eyelids. Do not draw lines from the inner edge, start them from the middle of the eye.

What makeup suits Asian eyes, how to choose the ideal tone for “yellow” skin, and what beauty trends should moon-faced girls adopt? Professional makeup artist, stylist, personal shopper ASIA studio style Elena Shotkinova knows the answers to all these questions.

P.A.: Elena, first tell us about your experience in the field of beauty, please. How did your passion for the art of makeup begin?

E.Sh.: Since childhood, I love to draw, dress up, and design. I have always drawn inspiration from literature, painting, fashion magazines, cinema, travel and communication with people. All this still shapes my taste.

At first, I used my knowledge in the field of fashion and beauty to create my own image, and at a certain point, relatives and friends began to listen to me, seek advice, and ask my opinion regarding their appearance. It was they, my close people, satisfied with their own reflection in the mirror, who convinced me of the need to develop in this direction. And, in gratitude for the services rendered and the time devoted to them, they began to pay for my work. So the hobby logically grew into a professional activity.

I received a diploma as a makeup artist and opened ASIA studio style. We provide a range of professional services for make-up, style consultations, shopping support in Irkutsk, the Irkutsk region, and often work with clients from Ulan-Ude and Buryatia.

But even now my learning does not stop for a moment. Every day you learn something new, adopt other people’s experiences, and experiment. After all, a professional is an expert, he is always aware of all trends and new products, he is the first to learn and begin to apply new techniques. Of course, I follow the work of my colleagues, world-famous celebrity stylists and makeup artists, bloggers and major trendsetters. We live in the information age, when acquiring knowledge is not a problem, all you need is desire and inspiration.

And I am inspired by the surrounding beauty - the beauty of nature, objects, faces. Well-groomed, stylish, tastefully dressed people always attract my attention and often delight me.

P.A.: Many Moscow makeup artists admit that they do not know how to paint Asian eyes. What do you think is the most difficult thing about makeup for Asian girls?

E.A.: Indeed, many makeup artists fall into a stupor and do not understand how to paint a “flat” eye, devoid of an obvious fold of the upper eyelid, how to correct a wide face, protruding cheekbones or our chubby cheeks.

In this regard, everything is clear to me and my colleague (note: ASIA studio style makeup artist Irina Shotkinova), we ourselves are the owners of a bright Asian appearance and know firsthand all the nuances that may worry our girls. In addition, I myself have never been satisfied with the work of a “European” makeup artist, so I decided to become a professional myself.

E.Sh.: Let me start with the fact that if you have any problems with your skin, it is better to immediately contact a cosmetologist. No extra money? There are also free public clinics. The main thing is not to engage in amateur activities! As for make-up techniques, they are more international:

1) moisturize your skin, paying special attention lip skin;

2) when applying foundation, never don't distribute it in dots all over the face for subsequent shading - in these places it has time to gain a foothold and you will eventually get spots;

3) I advise intensively draw the interciliary space black or dark brown pencil. This will make your eyelashes appear thicker and your gaze deeper;

4) always curl your eyelashes for a more wide-open look, intensively painting them from the roots in two layers with lengthening mascara;

5) it is necessary to have foundations of two shades in your cosmetic bag: light and darker, in order to mix, choosing the color that best suits the skin depending on the time of year. Also, foundations of dark and light shades will allow correct the shape of the face, make it sculptural.

6) I recommend that you master techniques for oily and dry face correction by signing up for a makeup lesson with professionals! The makeup artist will introduce you to your own face and its proportions. She will teach you how to select cosmetics and master basic makeup techniques that are right for you. (Such a service with the option of disassembling a cosmetic bag is presented in our ASIA studio style, its duration is 1.5 hours, the cost is 2000 rubles.)

“Any image will not be complete and harmonious without makeup. The “correct” make-up will always highlight your natural beauty and correct small imperfections. It is believed that girls and women who “don’t wear makeup” have too high an opinion of themselves!”

P.A.: What do you think are the most common makeup mistakes Asian women make? How NOT to apply makeup? Do you have any beauty taboos?

E.Sh.: For several seasons in a row, emphasis on eyebrows has been in fashion. I am glad that so much attention has been paid to this element of the face - eyebrows, along with tone, are indeed the most important point in makeup. But at the same time, they most often become the subject of ridicule. Unfortunately, very often our Asian beauties literally disfigure themselves with black, clear, intensely colored at the bridge of the nose, too short or too long, old-fashioned round or triangular graphic arts. Dear girls, please give up once and for all eyebrow tattoo and use grease pencil, even if your eyebrows are missing as a genre. Eyebrow tattooing is taboo! Grow yours as long as possible and contact a professional makeup artist to create a fashionable, beautiful, naturally defined eyebrow line.

It is often possible to observe incorrect application of blush. Girls either draw the shadow low, then the lower part of the face “floats” down. Or you can clearly apply blush along the cheekbone cavity, then the cheekbones become even more pronounced. Remember, blush is applied to the apples of the cheeks towards the temples!

And further - There is no such thing as brown blush!

You should also be careful with pearlescent textures. When thinking about adding shine, beware of another effect - swelling.

I would also like to note that our Asian girls often have the sin of wearing evening makeup from the very early morning. To put it mildly, dark smoky eyes and/or red lipstick don’t look entirely appropriate at 8 am.

P.A.: How to choose the right foundation/BB cream for Asian skin? Do we really all have a predominant yellow undertone and therefore should we look for foundations with yellow pigments (and in no case with red)?

E.Sh.: Asians are a yellow race. Indeed, most people living in Asia have a dark, yellowish skin tone, especially those living in southern latitudes and areas with intense solar activity. But let's not forget that northern peoples, such as the Yakuts, Evenks, Western Buryats, etc. often have very fair skin with pink undertones or even uniformly snow-white skin of a cold shade.

The ideal tone should blend with your skin tone and match the color of the skin on your neck. Moreover, the color of the foundation always depends solely on the natural shade of your skin at a given time of year (darker in summer, lighter in winter).

Again, there is a neutral palette of colors: from the lightest to the darkest with beige pigment. Such products are suitable for everyone, including helping to neutralize both excessive yellowness and pink, reddish tones.

Each brand offers tonal products in a cool, warm and neutral palette. The designation of tones with the letters W, C, N means: warm - warm, cold - cold, neutral - neutral.

P.A.: What makeup trends are there today that are perfect for Asian women?

E.Sh.: Our type of appearance is now in great demand in the global fashion industry. Asian models take part in the best shows of the season and set trends, inspiring us all!

In the spring-summer ’15 season, ideal radiant skin devoid of imperfections, wide eyebrows, and Nude makeup are unrivaled.

If you are the owner of sunny freckles, this season they do not need to be covered with thick corrective products, but even need to be emphasized.

For Asian eye makeup: feel free to draw graphic, jet-black arrows. The thickness can vary from thin for an office option to thick and curved, a sort of theatrical option.

An alternative is bright eyes, with unusual colored arrows along the upper or lower eyelid, or double arrows, when the black one is duplicated on top of the colored one:

Or maybe someone will like it monochrome application of shadows on almost the entire eyelid, for example, yellow or bright blue.

The captivating nature of Asian women is praised throughout the world by many representatives of the stronger half of humanity. The beauty of oriental beauties is special - exquisite, mysterious and very subtle. That’s why many women of European appearance really want to “try on” such a mysterious image. And this is quite possible if you know the technical nuances of makeup for Asian women.

Asian makeup shadows

Since the main motive of Asian makeup is to emphasize natural beauty, shadows are used in the appropriate palette. The most commonly used shadows are white and light shades of beige, golden, cream, matte or shimmering texture. In the case of the European eye, this color scheme will help hide the creases that are inherent in our eyelids. Also, light shadows are applied under the eyebrow line, and therefore it is better to choose shimmering shades. Sometimes Asian makeup uses additional drawing of the eyelid with dark color shades of shadows (along the edge of the moving eyelid) or a more modern option - with bright, catchy colors.

Eyeliner in Asian makeup

The main role in Asian makeup is given to this cosmetic product, since it is the eyeliner that emphasizes the eye shape inherent in this nation. For this, use eyeliner with a thin brush so that the drawn line is very thin and very neat. First, highlight the contour of the upper eyelid with a black line (as close as possible to the eyelash line) - from the inner corner of the eye to the outer. Please note that the line goes clearly along the indicated contour and only rises slightly upward from the outer corner of the eye. You can gradually thicken the line “along the way” to the outer edge. The lower eyelid is slightly corrected using light (ideally gray) eyeliner or a cosmetic pencil: for those with almond-shaped eyes - by applying the selected product along the lash line, for those with rounder eye shapes - just below this line, drawing it along the outer corner of the eye at the edge of the eyelid.

Mascara in Asian makeup

A rather modest place is allocated for mascara in Asian makeup, so you shouldn’t get carried away with it. Because prominent thick, voluminous eyelashes visually enlarge and round the eyes, which does not at all fit into the concept of Asian eye makeup. Therefore, one layer of regular or lengthening mascara is quite enough, and for everyday makeup in an oriental style, you can limit yourself to only lightly painting the tips of the eyelashes. Stylists have different opinions regarding applying mascara to the lower eyelashes: some consider it necessary to preserve their beauty without makeup, while others still advise lightly painting them over.

Eyebrows in Asian makeup

If you approach Asian makeup in its classical sense, then everything with eyebrows is laconic and simple - they should be straight, black and have clear contours. Sometimes, depending on your initial data (face shape), you can bend the straight shape a little. At the same time, remember that such visual effects of eyebrows as clear bends, angles, and angles will be inappropriate here. Also pay attention to the distance between the eyebrows - for Japanese women it is often large. In terms of eyebrow thickness, the Asian “bow” is not so demanding, but it is still better not to go beyond the generally accepted framework.

Face in Asian makeup

Definitely an Asian face should be matte. Select foundations based on your face tone. But keep in mind that they should create the effect of oriental skin color, that is, a certain darkness. Asian women also often highlight the areas under the eyes and on the cheekbones by applying a lighter tone of foundation. Blush is best used within the natural palette of colors with a shimmering effect.

Lips in Asian makeup

The modesty and restraint of Asian makeup also extends to the lips. Therefore, we do not use gloss, but reduce large and plump lips with a pencil and dark lipstick. Most often, when creating an oriental look, red and pink shades of lipstick appear with the obligatory use of lip pencil. That is, clarity of contours is welcome in this part of the makeup. Give preference to matte lipsticks.

Oriental beauty is a powerful weapon for winning male attention. However, first take a closer look at yourself - a pronounced Slavic light-haired image will be very difficult to make oriental. Love yourself as you are!

The Asian type of appearance is at the peak of fashion and this, of course, could not but be reflected in makeup trends. The fashion for characteristic facial features has led to the fact that more and more often on catwalks and fashion shows you can see that European models are increasingly having their eye makeup done in a special way, trying to bring their eyes as close as possible to the Asian type through make-up techniques.

Features of Asian makeup

Classic Asian makeup is, first of all, very fair skin, a clear eyebrow line and, of course, special eyes. What we used to call the “Asian cut” is nothing more than a special form of the structure of the eyelid. Unlike the European eyelid, this eyelid is much flatter, it almost completely lacks a fold and, despite the fact that the Asian eyelid is significantly wider, its area is much smaller than that of the European one.

Therefore, classic makeup schemes are practically not applicable to him.

In addition to the fact that the makeup of the moving eyelid is completely invisible when the eye is open, it is also necessary to take into account the difference between all the folds surrounding the eye from below and from above. This significant difference in relief must be carefully worked out by playing with shadow and light.

Nuances of choosing cosmetics

When thinking about performing Asian makeup, be sure to take into account the key distinguishing features between representatives of two races - Asians and Europeans.

  1. Asian skin never has a pink undertone. Accordingly, choose foundations and corrective products with a pronounced yellow pigment.
  2. By analogy with foundation, we exclude the warmest shades of blush - pink and coral, giving preference to classic beige or caramel color.
  3. No halftones in cosmetics for eyelashes and eyebrows - only uncompromising black.
  4. Due to the specificity of the century, bright colors of shadows are mostly not used; the dominant palette is all gamuts that echo the color and tone of the skin. Gold and silver shades are used for accents.
  5. The only thing that has no color restrictions is lipstick! It can be anything - from fatal red to cold but delicate pink.

Execution algorithm

Any make-up begins, of course, with a base.

The basis

  • As with all other techniques, high-quality and carefully executed Asian makeup begins with an even distribution of the main tone throughout the face. Having carefully shaded all the boundaries of the product, 1 tone lighter than the skin tone, it is necessary to additionally lighten the triangle that forms the lower eyelid (the base of the triangle is the line between the inner and outer corners of the eye) and the wing of the nose. The best way to cope with this task is a concealer with reflective particles, applied in a translucent layer using a sponge and additionally shaded with your fingertips.
  • Set the foundation with loose powder, and the concealer with matte shadows 1-2 shades lighter than the skin.
  • Now the face is prepared for correction. It is recommended to give preference to dry textures - bronzer or matte shadows. Please note that the product that will be used to create shadows and reliefs on the face should under no circumstances contain shimmer or any reflective particles, as well as red pigment, even in a minimal ratio. That is, the most matte product in all shades of gray-brown.

  • Use matte bronzer to darken the area under the cheekbone, hairline across the entire face, sides of the bridge of the nose, and the bottom of the chin.

Preparing the century

  • Apply primer to the upper eyelid (both its moving part and the sub-brow area), it is best to spread it with the pad of your finger - the warmth of your hands will warm the product and make it more pliable, and contact with the skin will allow you to feel the degree of coverage, which is extremely important, because . Too much eyeshadow base will have the opposite effect and your makeup will soon start to smudge.
  • Powder the eyelid again over the primer.

Applying liner (eyeliner)

  • Using gel or liquid eyeliner, carefully draw a thin line along the eyelash edge of the upper eyelid - from the beginning of active eyelash growth from the inside to the outer corner.
  • Having carefully painted the eyelash growth line and the spaces between the eyelashes, lower the eyeliner line in the outer corner slightly downward - thus, the eye will visually become somewhat narrower and elongated.
  • Move the tail of the eyeliner line up a little from the lowered corner - literally by 2-3 mm. While the eyeliner line is still wet, carefully draw an angled synthetic brush or a regular cotton swab along the drawn line - this manipulation will make the border less geometric and the end of the arrow smoother and more natural.

Lower eyelid design

  • The Asian eye is always a regular almond-shaped eye. In order to bring the European incision closer to this shape, it is necessary to work on the lower eyelid. The best technique to achieve this goal is to lighten the mucous membrane of the lower eyelid.
  • If your eyes are light, then you can safely use a soft beige or white-pink pencil. The mucous membrane worked with it will correct the shape and at the same time refresh the look.
  • For dark and too bright eyes, it is worth choosing a harmonious gray or gray-brown shade, because... Despite all the advantages of light pencils, for this type they will be very contrasting and will introduce a masquerade effect that is unnecessary in this context.

Eyelashes

  • A big mistake in Asian makeup would be creating voluminous and long eyelashes, as they will instantly visually expand the eye and make it more prominent - and these are the parameters we avoided in all previous stages.
  • Eyelashes must be contrasting and for this exactly one layer of mascara will be enough.
  • The lower eyelashes, when modeling an Asian cut on European eyes, are not painted over at all.

Eyebrow shaping

  • Without properly shaped eyebrows, Asian makeup cannot be complete.
  • The first rule is a rich charcoal eyebrow color, even for blondes.
  • The second rule is the absence of traditional European bends and kinks in the eyebrow line: only a straight shape or a shape reminiscent of a bow string.
  • Maximum geometry and clarity of the contour, no additional shading to soften the appearance of the eyebrows.

And here is the original version of Japanese makeup:

It goes without saying that it is impossible to achieve an absolutely identical eye shape to the Asian one using decorative means alone. However, knowing the key features and main accents of this technique, you can easily recreate the image you need for the occasion - for example, for a themed party.

It’s not enough to say about Asian eyes that they are beautiful. They are unique, mysterious and alluring. Such eyes are also called languid, because the lower eyelid is greatly drooped, thus creating an open look. However, not everyone is happy that they have such dignity in their appearance.

Because of their special shape, some girls find it quite difficult to create beautiful make-up on these eyes. Makeup for Asian eyes, done according to all the rules, can highlight the exotic beauty of a girl’s face and make her look clearer and bottomless.

When performing makeup, professional makeup artists try to preserve the natural shape of Asian eyes, but at the same time make them visually larger.

  • To do this, use a white pencil to line the lower eyelid.
  • But your eyes won't become beautiful if you don't apply eyelashes. Due to the fact that most girls of this type have short eyelashes, it is advisable to use mascara that has a lengthening effect (preferably 2 layers).

Heavy eyelids

Often girls are interested in how to deal with drooping eyelids. Such an eyelid can be visually raised - a slight adjustment of the eyebrows will help to do this: you need to remove the “falling” tail.

By removing the lower hairs and painting the upper ones, you will notice that Asian makeup looks fresher and drooping eyelids become less noticeable.

How to properly use eye shadow for Asian eyes

When using shadows, the main rule is to maintain the play of two colors: white and dark.

White shadows are applied under the eyebrow, while on the upper eyelid a transition is made from a light tone to a dark one.

To create attractive makeup, girls with Asian appearance should choose matte textures and avoid sharp transitions.

Having applied dark shadows to the crease of the eyelid, you need to make a light and natural transition to white shadows under the eyebrow. In this case, shading must be present.

Using arrows

Very often you can see how Asian eyes are tinted with arrows. In this type of makeup, eyeliner is the most important element. Thanks to it you can make your eyes brighter and more beautiful.
To make contour lines, you can use your choice of either a charcoal pencil or liquid eyeliner.

A wide contour strip of eyeliner applied along the upper eyelid will also help to enlarge narrow eyes.

Makeup for Asian eyes with a slanted shape and half-raised corners can be slightly adjusted to give the eyes a more rounded shape. To do this, you need to line the outer corner of the eye with a pencil right to the middle of the eyelid.

You should not paint on the lower eyelid and extend the line beyond the corners of the eyes - this will give the opposite result.

By the way, you will also need eyeliners and pencils for your eyebrows. By using them, you can make your eyebrows expressive and give them a perfect look.

Additional cosmetics for yellowish-colored faces

Makeup for Asian women is always done using foundation. But you need to select it carefully, since not all shades of this product are suitable for these girls.

Asian women's skin tone is often yellowish, so it is best to use light brown, tan, golden, and honey-colored foundations.

  • To refresh and create a more attractive look, makeup artists recommend applying a little blush in peach, pink or bright coral shades to your face.
  • Lips can be tinted with rich bright lipstick or, conversely, a natural light color.

Daytime makeup is usually done in light and subdued colors, so it is perfect for every day. Often in this case you can see shades such as peach, light gold and the like.

Features of daytime makeup:

  1. In daytime makeup, the eyelids are completely covered with the main tone of the shadows, right down to the growth of the eyebrows.
  2. The line under the lower eyelashes is formed with the same base.
  3. On the upper eyelid, at the base of the eyelash growth, a thin contour strip is drawn.
  4. Eyelashes are tinted with mascara in 1 layer.
  5. Sparse eyebrows can be outlined with a pencil of a non-dark shade - they will take on a more defined shape.

When performing light make-up, do not put aside your foundation. Daytime makeup for Asian eyes must be done using this product.

It is better to choose shadows from those that most closely resemble a natural blush, but at the same time look darker than the color of your cheeks. When choosing mascara, you should abandon the thickening effect - it is of no use in daytime makeup.

Ways to apply light makeup for Asian face types:

  • Without changing the original eye shape.
  1. Apply white eyeshadow to the moving eyelid.
  2. Apply dark shadows to the outer corner, this will give the look some languor and depth.

Let's draw an imaginary fold on the upper eyelid, thanks to which it will “rise” above the eye.

In daytime makeup you can use the following shades of shadows: green, pearl, dark gray. It is best if they are matte, as mother-of-pearl is more suitable for an evening look.

In some cases, you can not use shadows at all when creating makeup, or you can place a very small emphasis on the outer corner to make the look seem more expressive.

What you should avoid are red eyeshadows. Because of them, the eyes will appear swollen and tear-stained.

Smokey eyes are a great everyday make-up option for girls with an Asian face type.

How to do smokey eye makeup - step by step instructions

For girls with dark skin, the shadows for such makeup should be olive-brown, and for fair skin - bright blue, cornflower blue, lilac or purple.

  1. Extremely close to the eyelash contour, starting from the outer corners of the eye, draw a line with a coal-black pencil for about 2/3 of the eyelid.
  2. Apply shadows of dark colors to the pencil base in the corners of the eye and thoroughly shade the border.
  3. Apply white shadows to this border. We also shade it.
  4. To make the haze more effective, you can add white shadows to the eye pad under the eyebrows.
  5. We draw the lower eyelid with a black pencil, reducing the width of the line closer to the iris.
  6. Apply a thin line of dark shadow to the lower edge of the eye. Shading.
  7. Apply white shadows to the inner corner of the eye and extend to the middle of the upper and lower eyelids. Shading.
  8. To give the look the feeling of big eyes, you can draw a white soft pencil along the mucous membrane of the eye.
  9. At the ciliary edge of the upper eyelid, draw black eyeliner, thickening the line towards the outer corner of the eye.
  10. Apply mascara to thoroughly coat the eyelashes. To make your eyes look bigger, you can apply bunches of false eyelashes to the outer corners.

Evening makeup for Asian eyes

When creating makeup for an evening out, it is best to use an eyeshadow palette with a variety of color variations. Specific shades should be selected depending on the skin tone of the face and the color of the outfit.

Eye makeup for the evening can be done as follows:

In the same way, you can implement Asian makeup for European eyes.

Unusual beauty should not be hidden, it must be highlighted, but correctly, focusing only on the main advantages of appearance.
