Step-by-step knitting of a chanterelle hat. Hat "Cute fox". MK. Patterns and schemes

09.01.2024

What kid wouldn't love a playful hat in the shape of a cunning animal? She is funny, bright and very original. Thanks to our master class on knitting a fox hat, you can create such a headdress at home. Working on the product will be very interesting, you won’t even notice how time flies by.

Prepare for knitting

  • orange, white, black and green yarn;
  • hook No. 5;
  • needle;
  • regular thread.

Crochet fox hat - pattern and step-by-step description of knitting

  1. We form the base of the product with double crochets. First, we collect 12 columns and connect them into a ring. Then in each line we add 12 more columns. The second row should have 24 stitches, the third – 36. We form two double crochets into one loop, then add 1 stitch, and so on until the end of the row.

    Scheme for creating a header

  2. In the 4th line we add according to the scheme - a column, a column, 2 columns in one loop, etc. In the center of the circle we knit as many as 5 double crochets in one loop to form an angle for the muzzle. After which we make the usual increases.
  3. Line 5 consists of three stitches in a row, 2 double crochets in one loop, etc. We work a group of 5 double crochets in one loop like this: we create the first two double crochets as usual, on average we make 3 double crochets, then 2 more regular double crochets.
  4. We start line 6 with 4 regular double crochets, after which we form 2 double crochets in one loop. In a segment of 3 stitches we knit 1 double crochet, in the second – 3 stitches, in the third – 1 stitch. Next we use the usual increments. We continue knitting in increments of 12 loops in each line, duplicating the middle part from the 6th row.
  5. As a result of the work done, we should get a circle with a diameter of 11-12 cm (for a head volume of 48 cm). After this, we again make increases of 12 columns per row, the middle part is similar to the 6th row.
  6. When the desired length of the hat is reached, we begin to reduce the number of loops. We make a decrease in the back of the product by 2 columns, retreating slightly from the beginning of the row. Slightly short of knitting to the required length, we decorate the face of our fox.

  7. We knit with double crochets, we do not knit 13 loops to the middle. We attach a white thread, we also do not knit the last column in orange.

    We use double crochets

    Add white yarn

  8. Using white we create 13 stitches, place the next 3 stitches in the central loop of the corner, repeat 13 stitches again, after which we attach the orange yarn and form the work further. We break the thread and knit in straight and reverse rows.

Making the white bottom of the muzzle

  9. We finalize the edge of the eyelet (in the canvas itself) according to the diagram.

Diagram for forming the edge of the ear

  10. We make the outer eye from 12 air. loops From rows 1 to 4 we form 12 single crochets, in row 5 we decrease 1 stitch on each side. From rows 6 to 8 we knit 10 stitches. In the 8-9th row we make a similar reduction so that there are 8 loops in total. Row 10-11 consists of 8 stitches, 13 – of 6, 15 – of 4, 17 – of 1 loop. In line 12 we reduce to 6 stitches, in line 14 – to 4 stitches, in line 16 – to 1. We do the inner ear in the same way, only we start working with 11 air loops.

Bridge of the nose
Turn the cap upside down. We need 6 loops for the nose in the middle of the cap in a joining row of orange and white yarn. It is not necessary to calculate the middle perfectly, since the cap is round and, as long as we have not attached any additional parts, ANY place can be the middle.
Attach orange yarn to the last row knitted with orange yarn. 1 VP, 1 sc each in 6 loops in a row, 1 VP lift, turn over
Row 2: Decrease 1 sc, 1 sc in next 2 stitches, Decrease 1 sc, 1 VP lift, turn over
Row 3: RLS in each loop of the row, 1 VP lift, turn over (4 RLS)
Repeat row 3 until the nose is long enough to reach the edge of the cap. Secure the end of the yarn, leaving a long tail.
Sew all sides of the bridge of the nose to the cap.

Nose
Knit with black yarn
Tie a magic ring. In the magic ring, 2 dc, hdc, 2 sc, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, 2 sc, hdc and connect to the first dc. Pull it tight and leave a long tail so you can sew it to the base of the bridge of the nose.

Fluff on the cheeks
Right side, work the side of the cap up: Attach the white yarn to the dc of the last row of the cap. 6 ch, in the second loop from the sc hook, decrease hdc in the next 2 loops, decrease dc in the last 2 loops, attach with sc to the dc of the next row of the cap.
5 VP, in the second loop from the hook, decrease the hdc in 2 loops, decrease the dc in the last 2 loops, attach using sc to the dc of the next row of the cap.
3 VP, in the second loop from the hook, decrease the hdc and attach with the help of sc to the dc of the next row of the cap. Fasten and hide the end of the thread.

Left side, knit the side of the cap down: We start knitting at the level of 4 rows of white yarn from the edge of the cap. Attach white yarn. 3 VP, in the second loop from the hook, sc, hdc in the last loop, attach with sc to the dc of the next row of the cap.
4 VP, in the second loop from the hook, sc, hdc, dc in the last loop, attach with sc to the dc of the next row of the cap.
5 ch, in the second loop from the sc hook, 1 dc in the next 2 loops, 2 dc in the last loop, connect to the cap, fasten and hide the end of the thread.

The pattern described above is ideal for sizes 0-3 months. On larger sizes, you can add more “fluffy protrusions” to fill out the white part of the cap if desired.

Small ear (for sizes 0-12 months). Make two:

Row 6: *Decrease sc* - repeat until the end of the row, continue tying the perimeter of the ear with sc. When you make a turn and return to the top of the eye, change the yarn to black, sc + ch + sc in the loop at the top of the eye, you will get an eye with a black tip.

Small inner eye (make two):
Knit with white yarn
7 VP, in the second loop from the hook *SC* - repeat until the end of the row, 1 VP lift, turn over
2nd row: Decrease 1 sc in the first two loops, 1 sc in the next 2 loops, decrease 1 sc in the last two loops, 1 ch inc, turn over
3rd row: RLS in each loop to the end of the row, 1 VP rise, turn over (4 RLS)
4th row: *Decrease RLS* - repeat to the end of the row, 1 VP lift, turn over
Row 5: Decrease sc and continue tying sc around the perimeter of the ear. Secure the end of the thread, leaving a long tail to sew the inner eyelet to the outer eyelet.

Large ear (make two):
We start knitting with orange yarn
11 VP, in the second loop from the hook *SC* - repeat until the end of the row, 1 VP lift, turn over
2nd row: Decrease 1 sc in the first two loops, 1 sc in the next 6 loops, decrease 1 sc in the last two loops, 1 ch inc, turn over
3rd row: RLS in each loop to the end of the row, 1 VP rise, turn over (8 RLS)
4th row: Decrease 1 sc in the first two loops, 1 sc in the next 4 loops, decrease 1 sc in the last two loops, 1 ch inc, turn over
5th row: RLS in each loop to the end of the row, 1 VP rise, turn over (6 RLS)
6th row: Decrease 1 sc in the first two loops, 1 sc in the next 2 loops, decrease 1 sc in the last two loops, 1 ch inc, turn over
7th row: RLS in each loop to the end of the row, 1 VP rise, turn over (4 RLS)
Change to black yarn
Row 8: RLS in each loop to the end of the row, 1 VP lift, turn over (4 RLS)
Row 9: *Decrease sc* - repeat until the end of the row
Row 10: Decrease sc and continue tying sc around the perimeter of the ear, changing the color of the yarn depending on the color of the ear section.

Large inner eye (make two):
Knit with white yarn
9 VP, in the second loop from the hook *SC* - repeat to the end of the row, 1 VP lifting, turn over (8 SC)
2nd row: Decrease 1 sc in the first two loops, 1 sc in the next 4 loops, decrease 1 sc in the last two loops, 1 ch inc, turn over
3rd row: RLS in each loop to the end of the row, 1 VP rise, turn over (6 RLS)
4th row: Decrease 1 sc in the first two loops, 1 sc in the next 2 loops, decrease 1 sc in the last two loops, 1 ch inc, turn over
5th row: RLS in each loop to the end of the row, 1 VP rise, turn over (4 RLS)
6th row: *Decrease RLS* - repeat until the end of the row, 1 VP lift, turn over
Row 7: Decrease sc and continue tying sc around the perimeter of the ear. Secure the end of the thread, leaving a long tail to sew the inner eyelet to the outer eyelet.

Finally, sew on the button eyes and you now have a friendly fox hat! Feel free to decorate the hat, for example with a bow on one of the ears, if you are knitting it for a girl. I look forward to seeing photos of hats you knit using this pattern!

Hello!!! Yesterday I finished a fox hat for my youngest daughter - she’s such a cunning one))) As always, I came up with it while knitting))) I haven’t found one like this on the Internet anymore)))

Here is the result of my labors (I bandaged the base 3 times)

The muzzle is closer)))

I knitted it using Diamond yarn from Vita in two threads, hook number 5, and decorated it with details knitted from different yarns.

Now the master class)))

We knit with double crochets. For lovers of diagrams, I sketched out a diagram in Photoshop (all photos are enlarged)

Now for some clarification. So, let’s start knitting 12 dc into a ring. Then add 12 dc in each row.
2nd row. 24 dc, that is, we knit two dc in each loop
3rd row. 36 dc, make two double crochets in one loop, dc, and so on until the end of the row
4th row. the increases look like this - dc, dc, 2 dc in one loop, etc., knit to the middle of the circle and knit 5 dc in one loop - this way we will form an angle - it forms the face of a chanterelle, then we continue to knit with the usual increases.
5th row. the increase is as follows - dc, dc, dc, 2 dc, etc., we knit to a group of 5 dc in one loop, we simply knit the first two stitches with dc, in the middle we make 3 dc, then again double crochets, one in 4 -th and 5th loops of this group, then knit with the usual increases.
6th row. increase - dc, dc, dc, dc, 2 dc, etc., knit to a group of 3 dc in one loop, in the first of the group we knit 1 dc, in the second - 3 dc, in the third - 1 dc , we knit further with the usual increases.
And then we knit with an increase of 12 dc in each row, and we knit the middle part as in the 6th row.

We knit this way until the diameter of the round part reaches 11-12 cm (for a head volume of 48 cm, for a larger size you can make the flat part 12-13 cm), then we make increments of 12 DCs every other row, but continue to knit the middle part in the same way as in 6- m row.

Upon reaching the required size of the hat, we finish adding 12 dc, and now you will need to subtract 2 dc in each row (because that’s how much we add in the middle corner part) - I decrease them in the back of the hat on both sides from the beginning of the row, retreating 10 loops from it.

We periodically try on the hat and, having not knitted the front 2 rows of the hat to the desired length, we begin to design the muzzle.
This is my moment

Next, we begin to knit the row as usual, without knitting 13 loops to the middle, we attach the white thread as follows
do not finish the last double crochet with orange color

We stretch the white thread

We knit 13 dc in white, then 3 dc in the central loop of the corner, 13 dc, attach the orange thread in the same way and knit the remaining double crochets. Next, break the thread and knit in straight and reverse rows. Above the white columns we also knit in white. We get

If you try on the hat, you will see that although the length of the hat is normal in the front, it is insufficient in the back, and the ears are not covered, so then we only knit the orange part. At the beginning and at the end of the row we knit in straight and reverse rows symmetrically according to the pattern

This way we will get sufficient length at the back of the hat and covered ears.
Next we knit the chanterelle ears.
Outer ear
12 ch
1st - 4 row 12 single crochets (RS)
5th row decrease on each side 1 sc - 10 sc
6-8 row - 10 RLS
9th row - decrease 1 sc on each side - 8 sc
10-11 row - 8 RLS
Row 12 - decrease 1 sc on each side - 6 sc
Row 13 - 6 RLS
Row 14 - knit in black - decrease 1 sc on each side - 4 sc
Row 15 - 4 RLS
Row 16 - decrease 1 sc on each side
Row 17 - 1 RLS.

The inner ear is knitted in white in the same way, only we start with 11 ch, decrease and the number of rows is the same as in the outer part.

We get these details

Hello, please help me analyze the description of the Fox Vuk hat-helmet. I knitted it up to the 10th row, then reduced the elastic to 9 loops and everything was in a stupor... Maybe someone has knitted a similar hat???
Here is a description from the InternetFor 3-6(12-18) months

You will need: Arina Novaya yarn (50% wool, 50% acrylic, 123 m/100 g) - 100 g: orange, Svetlana yarn (50% wool, 50% acrylic, 250 m/100 g) - 50 g orange, sock needles No. 4.5 and No. 2, hook No. 2.5, 2 tips, lock.

Rib 1x1: knit knit 1 alternately. p. and 1 p. P.

Facial surface: faces. rows - persons. loops, purl rows - purl. loops; when knitting in the round - only knits. loops.

Cast on "Arina Novaya" yarn on needles No. 4.5 in a set with open loops 51 (59) sts. Next, knit as follows: 1st row (purl) - chrome. p., elastic 1x1, chrome. P.

2nd row (front) - chrome. p., elastic 1x1, chrome. n. 3rd row: chrome. p., 1 persons. p., *1 yarn over, 2 p. together knit.*, repeat * * chrome. P.

4th row: 1x1 rib according to pattern.

5th row: chrome. n., 15(17) persons. p., 19(23) p. ribbed 1x1.15(17) knits. n., chrome. P.

8th row: 2 sts together. (close 3 stitches at the same time), then follow the picture, chrome. P.

9th row: 2 sts together. (close 3 stitches at the same time), then follow the picture, chrome. P.

Knit the 10th and subsequent rows according to the pattern until the total length from the lacing is 16(19) cm, smoothly reducing the width of the elastic to 9 sts. At a height of 16(19) cm at the beginning of the row, cast on an additional 12(13) loops on the knitting needles, go to knitting on five needles in the round. The total number of loops is 48(54). Continue knitting in stockinette stitch for 7(9) rows.
“Ears”: mark on both sides with 4 markers the central 7(9) loops of the front part (marker 1 and marker 2) and 7(9) loops of the back part (marker 3 and marker 4). Side 34(38) loops on each side - “ears” (17(19) each when folded). In the 4th circular row, knit 2 stitches together after marker 1 and before marker 2, as well as 2 stitches together after marker 3 and marker 4. In the 6th circular row for size 3-6 months, knit 2 stitches once together between marker 1 and marker 2 and 2 times 2 sts together between marker 3 and marker 4. For size 12-18 months, repeat decreases as in the 4th round.

On the knitting needles, between markers 1 and 2 for sizes 3-6 months, 4 sts remain, between markers 3 and 4, 3 sts remain. For sizes 12-18 months, between markers 1 and 2 and markers 3 and 4, 5 sts remain.

Next, to decorate the “ears” in the 7th (9th) row, remove the central loops between markers 1 and 2 and markers 3 and 4. knitting needles unknitted. Knit 4 rows of side loops from marker 2 to marker 3. Then divide the loops into two parts (8 and 9 (9 and 10) stitches each), slip them onto two knitting needles, turn them inside out and crochet them with half-stitches, 1 loop from each knitting needle at the same time, tear off the thread.

Turn the “ear” right out. Tie the second “ear” in the same way.

Turn the open central loops of the back and front inside out and crochet them in the same way, knitting 2 stitches together. Next, proceed to knitting the breast (shirt front) using the previously cast-on loops on the neckline.

1st row (purl) - distribute 7 purls for raglan knitting. p. (half front) - 2 persons. raglan n. - 7 p. p. (sleeve) - 2 persons. raglan n. - 15 p. p. (back) - 2 persons. raglan n. - 7 p. p. (sleeve) - 2 persons. raglan n. - 7 p. st (half front) (9 purl sts - knit 2 sts - 8 purl sts - knit 2 sts - purl 17 sts - knit 2 sts - purl 8 sts - knit 2 p. - 9 purl p.).

2nd row (front) - all loops - knit, including raglans, before and after raglans - yarn overs. Join the knitting in a circle and knit all the knit stitches in a circle, alternate the raglan loops with knit stitches. - purl to form a garter stitch pattern. Knit 12 (14) rows with increases. Close all the loops with a hook at the same time along the front side of the product.

Perform the binding with an openwork pattern: 1st row - arches of 4 air. p., half-column in every third loop of the previous row.

2nd row: shell from 4 tbsp. s/n in the arch, half-column in the middle of the arch of the previous row.

3rd row - arch of 4 air. p., half-column in half-column of the previous row, arch of 4 air. p., half-column in the middle of the shell of the previous row.

4th row - arch of 4 air. p., half-column in the arch of the previous row.

5th row - arch of 4 air. p., half-column in the arch of the previous row.

6th row - shell from 4 tbsp. s/n in the arch, half-column in the middle of the arch of the previous row.

Use a needle to sew a seam down the middle of the breast. Tying around the circumference of the front part of the cap: cast on “Svetlana” yarn along the front side of the product along the edge of 80 (88) sts, knit 7 cm in a circle on toe knitting needles No. 2 with a 1x1 elastic band. Cast off all loops at the same time.

Fold the knitted elastic inward and sew with a needle along the seam formed when casting on the loops. Crochet a lace 50 (55) cm long and thread it through the lacing holes. Place the fastener by threading the two ends of the lace and fasten the ends to the ends.

Highlight the “ears” by knitting a seam around the circumference of the head. Tying the upper “ears”: using “Svetlana” yarn, crochet it with non-woven columns along the side parts of the “ears”, pull the ends of the thread inside out and secure inside the “ears”.

We warmed up my daughter and knitted a fox hat. Her country's mothers were already knitting.
Threads are white Angora Ram, pink in honeycomb Yarn Art freestyle, knitting needles No. 3. Fleece lining inside.

Unexpectedly, the hat came together easily and in a couple of hours. Thanks to the author of MK for the detailed photos!

For those who still can’t relate to the photo, I’ll try to explain it using the author’s photo as an example.

This is what the original hat looks like.

We start knitting from the back of the head. We cast on 4 knit stitches (two central loops + 2 edge stitches). We increase one yarn over before and after the two central stitches in the front rows (total 2 loops in 1 row).
Gradually a triangle is formed. Everyone’s threads, knitting needles and number of loops will be different, so we try on the height of the triangle on the child. From the base of the neck to the top of the head. I got 16 cm.

My mistakes
I measured the height of the occipital part from the base of the head, and not from the neck. The hat turned out to be small, I had to put on a harness.

Next, divide the number of loops in half and introduce the third knitting needle. We decrease the right part on both sides by one loop, in the front rows. After a few rows, our triangle decreases. Leave 2 loops. We knitted the back of the ear.

Turn the work over and start working on the front side of one of the ears. In each front row after and before the edge rows we add one loop (total 2 loops in each front row).
When knitting the last edge loop, we grab the edge loop of the finished part of the back of the eyelet.
You can, of course, sew the parts together later, but many people rightly avoid unnecessary seams. Gradually increase the front side of the eyelet to the number of loops of the base of the part.

My mistakes:
Due to an error in the height of the back part, the base of the triangle turned out to be slightly smaller than needed. The ears stand up straight, are positioned slightly disproportionately relative to the child’s head, and beg to be stretched a little wider.

Let's look at knitting bends using the example of a photo and the number of loops by the author.
The author leaves 4+4 loops for the edges and two for the central division. 5+5 for bends Total 30.
We knit 4 loops (right edge).
Next, remove 5 loops onto an auxiliary knitting needle (knitting needle before work). And we knit alternately two loops together from the main knitting needle and the auxiliary one. We transferred 1 loop from the auxiliary one to the main knitting needle, knitted it together with the main loop. And so on for all five loops. The result is a right bend of the ear.
Next we knit 2 knit stitches to visually separate the folds.

We knit the left fold. We remove 5 loops on the auxiliary knitting needle (we only place the knitting needle behind the work), knit two loops in turn along with the main and auxiliary all loops.
Next we knit the remaining 4 loops of the left edge. We have one ear ready. You can admire the result!

We repeat the same with the other ear. We reduce the loops in the front rows to the number of 2, turn the work over, add loops along the edges to the number of loops at the base; In each row, knitting the last loop, we grab the edge loop of the wrong side of the eyelet.
We knit the folds. Both of our ears are ready!
Having knitted the ears in my hat, I couldn’t stop looking at them!)) They turned out so cute! Soft, quite dense, kept their shape perfectly. My daughter sleeps outside in her stroller wearing this hat, and they don’t interfere at all!

Let's start knitting the main part.
We cast on all the loops around the perimeter of the hat.
I cast on without increments, on circular knitting needles. It depends on what is comfortable for you, what your hands are used to. At some point I doubted whether it would be tight... After all, the base is much narrower than usual. Not at all! The chapulya fits snugly to the neck and does not pull anywhere.

I knitted the base with honeycombs, like the author’s, only in two colors. It turned out very tender, I liked it much more than if I had knitted it in one color. I had never knitted honeycombs before, I found a detailed video tutorial here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYUU6RpYVzw
two-color honeycombs here http://knitplanet.ru/uzor/uzori-spicami/mnogocvetnie-uzori/dvuhcvetnie-soti

We knit the part to the desired width. The edge can be decorated as desired. I did it as the author did.
.

I tried crocheting the ears, as in the photo... The hat seemed too childish, so I let it down.

I saw one of the girls wearing a raglan shirtfront. I liked it very much, I will knit another one like this with a shirt front.
