Bouquet of lilies with your own hands. Crochet. Napkin “White lilies Master class water lilies with a lush center

09.01.2024

I came across a design for such a napkin with a lily pattern a long time ago in a magazine. When knitting this napkin, I used white Iris threads and a No. 1.5 hook. The importance of lilies in ancient times was great. It is not without reason that the lily symbolizes purity and tenderness. At the same time, the lily is delightfully beautiful. The history of lilies dates back to ancient times. The first known facts are known from Ancient Greece and Egypt.

The napkin will look great under a vase or on a coffee table. There are eight lilies on the napkin, separated by small lilies.

Description of the napkin “White Lilies”:

I knit a chain of six air loops and connect them using one connecting stitch into a ring. Then I make one chain stitch instead of one single crochet and knit another fifteen single crochets in the round. I finish the row with one connecting stitch in the first loop of the beginning. After completing the row, I continue knitting according to the pattern posted here. If necessary, I make connecting posts before starting the next circular row.

After completing the third circular row, I break the thread and start knitting again from arrow A and knit until the eighth circular row. Then I start knitting from arrow B and then knit according to the given pattern.

I stretch the finished napkin, grabbing each chain of air loops separately and pressing them.

In order to knit such a napkin Lily with a puffy edge you will need approximately 80 grams of white Iris yarn and some red for finishing. The napkin is crocheted No. 1.5 Its diameter is about 60 centimeters.

Start knitting a napkin using patterns 1,2,3

Diagrams 1 and 2 show only one repeat, but the entire product consists of eight. The numbers on the diagram indicate rows, and under the arches the number of air loops in them is indicated. There are arrows in diagram 3, they indicate the direction of work.

Work should begin with a chain of 5 air loops that must be closed in a ring. Tie 1 single crochet stitch and work 7 single crochets into a ring. In diagram 1 this is the first row. Knit the napkin in a circle and close each row with a connecting stitch. The required number of air loops is knitted to lift to a new row. The diagram shows the closure of each row.

According to pattern 3, row 42 is knitted. Knit the final 43rd row with red yarn and a single crochet pattern. Combine motives as you work, the toga is yours the napkin will resemble a Lily flower.

I knit these flowers for the Swan Lake napkin, but they can also serve as a decoration for anything.

By the way, using other threads, for example, white ones, you can sew small daisies or chrysanthemums. You can decorate clothes, toys, and the interior; the flowers are universal, 5-7 centimeters in diameter, depending on the threads.

For my water lily I took:
yellow acrylic yarn (a little, for the middles)
large skein of soft pink threads with glitter
hook No. 2 (suitable size for yarn). taken from https://www.site

The water lily consists of 3 layers (“cups”) or individual “daisies” of different sizes.

The first, smallest one, is knitted starting with 8 single crochets and then 8 petals are knitted according to the pattern. 1 petal for the flower in each single crochet, the transition between which is carried out using a connecting stitch. There is no need to tighten the ring right away, because... you will need to pass the thread of the top layer through it. taken from https://www.site

The second stage is the middle “cup” of the flower. Amigurumi ring with 9 single crochets and then 9 petals according to the pattern. taken from https://www.site

The third stage is a large “cup” for the water lily. Amigurumi ring with alternating double crochets and chain stitches according to the pattern, making 10 petals in total. taken from https://www.site

The fourth stage is the middle for the water lily. Amigurumi ring, 1 chain stitch and repeat 6 times *single crochet (SC) and chain stitch*, then a connecting stitch in the first of 6 SC. Immediately tighten the ring tightly. taken from https://www.site

Final stage - water lily assembly.

It turns out 3 “daisies”, one larger than the other and a yellow center. taken from https://www.site

We pass the ends of the middle into the ring of the small “cup” and tighten the ring thoroughly. If you cannot center the center by thread tension, you can make a couple of stitches with a needle to secure the center in the desired position.

We place the resulting center on the middle “cup”, also passing the ends of the threads into the ring and tightening it.

We carry out a similar action with the last large part. taken from https://www.site

If there is not enough rigidity in the fastening, secure with a couple of stitches of thread.

The petals curl slightly at the ends and may not have a symmetrical shape, but can easily be adjusted by hand.

Knit 5 separate circles. Each knits according to its own pattern. You have knitted the first ring of double crochets and begin to knit each petal separately. Having connected all the circles, connect them with a shift, as in the photo. The diagram is in the image gallery.

Master class on a water lily with a lush center:

Knit 8 VPs in a ring, tie 8 VPs, from each loop *knit a chain of 8 VPs, and secure it with RLS*, knit another circle of RLS with additions, knit 16 RLSs, In the next row from each loop *knit a chain of 8 VP, and secure it with sc*.

The stamens for the center of the lily are ready.

Change the thread to white. Knit a sc circle.

Cross knitting of a narrow petal:

1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc. Secure the petal by knitting a sc, skipping 2 loops in a row *. Before knitting the next row of petals, knit a row of sc.

In each subsequent row, increase the chain of VP for the petal by 2 loops.

If you knit 1 row of petals. it turns out to be a lily bud.

By adding the number of layers with petals, you can vary the size of the lily.

When knitting a wide petal, you should keep in mind that the petal is knitted from the VP chain in both directions.

To do this, first knit along one side of the chain according to the description of the narrow petal, then return to the top of the petal, tying the VP on the other side of the RLS, then knit in the same way as the narrow petal.
